BibLibre wins company award for open and ethical digital technology

The “Acteurs du Libre” competition rewards Free Software companies and entrepreneurs as well as projects and associations which contribute through their actions to the development of Free Software and Open Source. It is organized by the CNLL, Union of Free Software and Open Digital Companies which represents companies in the Open Source sector in France. This year BibLibre applied in the “Prize for open and ethical digital” category… and won the prize.

This was presented to Paul Poulain, Manager of BibLibre, during the ceremony held on December, 6 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, as part of the Opensource-experience show. “I am very proud to win this award, which is recognition of our sincere investment in an ecosystem favoring sharing and open science. I do not consider this award as an achievement, but as an encouragement to go further. We have recently appointed an ‘ecological footprint’ referent and will commit next year to an assessment and actions to reduce our footprint, always in the objective of building an open, ethical digital system compatible with climate issues.”
