Hackfest Koha 2015 at BibLibre : Day 2

The second day of the 2015 Hackfest started in two different places.

At the Aix Marseille University french librarians worked together to work on the french translation of the version 3.18 of Koha. At the end of the morning, the system preferences translation was over !

Meanwhile in our offices several working groups were created. A workshop about Plack setup inside Koha interested many participants. This workshop held by Dobrica from Croatia allowed him to show the progresses made in the setup of this tool capable of improving in a significant way both OPAC and professional interface performances.
3 participants volunteered to:

– solve the cache data problem (the cache must be invalidated when modifying a syspref or a cataloging grid)
– propose a solution to make the Plack configuration available during the installation, and activate it with koha_tools

During the lunch participants enjoyed the now traditional cheese meal, with more than 15 different cheeses. A great way to discover a part of the french gastronomy for the participants coming from all around the world. Then around twenty people climbed the hill up to Notre Dame de la Garde to enjoy the sun and discover the breathtaking view of Marseille.

During the afternoon the french translation continued, with the end of the traduction of the OPAC of Koha 3.18.

Kyle made a workshop on Rest API that reunited around twenty people.
