Did you know? Browse library shelf on item detail page

In this week Did you know?, we will see how to enable the library shelf browsing on the item detail page. This allow to the user to see which book are available in the library shelf near the one he is looking at.

To start you just have to connect on the Koha Staff Interface (username: test and password: test) and then go to Koha Administration> Global system preferences > OPAC.

Once in the OPAC tab of the system preferences, the interesting part for today is called OPACShelfbrowser.

To see the result once the system preference enabled, you just have to return on Koha’s OPAC and search for a book.

As predicted, you can now see the books available near the one you selected in the library shelf.
