This month an intro about the IFLA BibLibre International Marketing Award. We then give some news about our Koha project in Thessaloniki, the mornings about Bokeh’s new features, the PTFS Europe Customer Days and the next KohaCon, to be held in Thessaloniki. Then a feedback on the Kohaference in San Sebastian, Spain, where Paul held a talk the past week.

Introduction

I wanted to take advantage of our monthly newsletter to remind you about our sponsoring of the IFLA Biblibre International Library Marketing award. This award, attributed by a jury of IFLA members is awarding libraries that conducted creative marketing projects and campains.

Up to 10 finalists will be selected and 3 winners will be awarded. To date, the IFLA received applications from all over the world, but none from France. Do not hesitate to sent your application to participate to this prestigious award, and represent France.

The first and the second winner will receive airfare, lodging and registration for the World Library and Information Congress: 82nd IFLA General Conference and Assembly in Columbus, Ohio, USA 13-19 August 2016. Cash awards of €2000, €1000 and €500 respectively, which must be used to further their marketing efforts, will also be awarded to the first, second and third-place winners.

Thessaloniki University

We just finished the Thessaloniki University Koha project. We installed Koha, migrated 1.5 million records from Horizon and trained the librarians. This project, managed with Elidoc, our greek partner, has been with

Our other project in Greece, the University of Macedonia went live few days ago. These two libraries will hopefully bring many others !

Discover Bokeh New features on december 2 & 3, 2015

We organize with AFI mornings to talk about Bokeh’s new features on December 3rd and 10th. These presentations will be held at Talence, Clisson and Hem libraries. PTFS Europe Customer Days – December 2 & 3, 2015

Paul Poulain has been invited to the PTFS Europe Customer Days to showcase the worldwide Koha community and the Koha positioning in France.

Next KohaCon in Thessaloniki in Mai 2016

It was recently announced that the next KohaCon will be held a the Thessaloniki University in May 2016. The KohaCon is the annual worldwide Koha conference. We really look forward meeting the international Koha community in the premises of one of our customer !

Kohaference in San Sebastian, Espagne – Novembre 19 & 20, 2015

Paul was invited a the Kohaference in San Sebastian, Spain. His talk was about Koha history, its community and its future. The Kohaference was the first countrywide spanish Koha conference.
