AFI and BibLibre annonce Bokeh, the first 4G documentary portal

AFI OPAC 2.0 becomes Bokeh. First visible result of the merger between AFI and BibLibre, the latter joined the development Bokeh that becomes a community Open Source software.

Bokeh is at the same time:

  • an enriched OPAC through its many connectors,
  • an easy to administer CMS that allow to create complete websites,
  • a content aggregator originating from external sources,
  • a digital library.

It brings together in a single application features from 4 software that make it the first documentary portal 4G.

Bokeh is also evolving functionally with the imminent arrival of new modules:

  •     management activities and booking rooms especially useful for educational research libraries. Users can register online for various activities offered by the library.
  •     federated search,
  •     pre-registration online.

A large number of additional features have been added in the development plan set by the new team that welcomes all contributions.
