We recently updated our Koha's demonstration website (witch was previously with Koha 3.4 even though the version 3.10 was released 4 months ago)
The Koha Community Newsletter of February 2013 edited by Daniel Grobani is available on Koha Community.
In 2012, as in the previous years, BibLibre made his business on OpenSource/Free softwares. As in the previous years, BibLibre also dedicated a lot of ressources to contribute to softwares we support.
This blog entry summarize all the work we made for communities (Note that it does *not* include sponsored/funded work. It reports only self-funded contributions)
BibLibre is proud to share with you the press release from the association « Bibliothèques Sans Frontières » ("Libraries Without Borders") announcing that they have adopted Koha as their reserve management tool
In 2011 and in 2012, BibLibre organized a Koha hackfest in his office. Those hackfests were a success. All BibLibre staff were very happy to work for the community and with the community "irl", and people that came were very happy too.
In 2012, 10 french librarians were here, we splitted in small groups or 4-5 persons, focusing on various tasks, either technical or non technical.
That's why we decided to organize another hackfest in Marseille in 2013. The dates are now defined: it will be in march, 18th to 22nd.
BibLibre and Elidoc are proud to announce that they have signed, on October 1st, a partnership to fit the interest of greek libraries for Open Source software.
Elidoc perfectly know the hellenic libraries need, and BibLibre is a leader in Open Source software for libraries, including Koha, Integrated Library System, and Drupal, Content Management system.
BibLibre keep on contributing to drupal-opac (No less than four two-weeks sprints, involving four developers and two librarians each since early september.). Reminder: drupal-opac allows libraries to integrate their catalog with Drupal. The 4th code sprint just ended last friday with the first release of the module: 7.x-1.0-alpha1.
This is an opportunity to show you what's new since the module has been accepted by the Drupal community (see BibLibre contributes the drupal opac module in "full project").
Now that 3.10 is almost here and Plack for the staff interface is stable, I wanted to measure the benefit of Plack for Koha.
To achieve this goal, I made 2 different tests :
Like most of you already know, some responsibilities are defined by an election, and an official choice by the Koha community.
With the release of Koha 3.10 approaching (in one month and a half), it was time to elect the new team. It's now done !
